Casa Floresta is situated on the Silver Coast overlooking the rural village of Vale Marinhas. It is surrounded by eucalyptus forests. The A15 motorway link is 6 kilometres distance making it within easy reach of Lisbon airport. The excellent Golden Eagles and Praia d'El Rei Golf and Country clubs are within easy reach. The historic town of Obidos is a short drive away. There is a choice of beaches along the Silver Coast.

The Costa De Prata region

Vale Marinhas is situated in a quiet rural area amidst the eucalyptus forests. The towns of Rio Maior and historic Obidos, are 15 minutes drive away.

Vale Marinhas Rio Maior area

The historic walled castle of Obidos, with its narrow cobbled streets, sell locally made artifacts in the small shops. There are frequent festivals, held within the ancient walls, ranging from opera to mediaeval themes. You must not miss sampling the delicious local liqueur called Ginja.

The bustling town of Caldas da Rainha with its wide range of shops has a daily fruit and vegetable market selling locally grown produce.

The nearby town of Rio Maior has a full complement of shops, supermarkets, restaurants, etc.

The famous religious site of Fatima is well worth a visit.

There are numerous beaches within easy driving distance along the Silver Coast.

A visit to the fishing port of Peniche to have a sardine lunch is not to be missed.
